In this post, I will be showing you how to connect a PC to a wireless router in packet tracer.
By default, end-host devices like laptops, printers, and laptops cannot connect to a wireless network because they have an Ethernet module on their network interface card (NIC). For them to connect to a wireless network, this Ethernet module needs to be replaced with a wireless module.
In this post, I will be showing you how to replace the Ethernet module on the NIC of a laptop with a wireless module so that you can connect it to a wireless router.
Note: I completed the wireless router configuration in a separate post. I configured the wireless router as a DHCP server and configured it to broadcast wireless signals with an SSID (netizzan) and password (netizzan). Consider checking out the three posts below to learn how to do it.

How to Connect PC to Wireless Router in Packet Tracer
Here are steps to connect PC to a Wireless router in packet tracer;
Step 1: Remove the ethernet module from the NIC
By default, a PC has an Ethernet module on its Network interface Card (NIC). It uses the Ethernet module for cable connection. To be able to connect to a wireless network, we need to replace this Ethernet module with a wireless module.
First, turn off the power, and then drag and drop the Ethernet module outside to remove it.
Step 2: Add a wireless Module to The NIC
You can now add a wireless module by dragging the WPC300N and then dropping it on the NIC. Then, turn the power on.
Step 3: Connect to the wireless Router
To connect to the Wireless router, navigate to wireless configuration by going to Desktop>PC wireless.
Then navigate to “Connect” and look for the SSID of the wireless network (Netizzan). We configured this SSID in our last post on how to configure a wireless router in packet tracer
Then enter the password for the wireless network and click “connect.”.
Because I configure the wireless router as a DHCP server, the PC will automatically obtain an IP address and, therefore, can be reached from other host devices.
